Hegwood & Associates, P.C., will be hosting a free informational seminar on estate planning on Tuesday, Dec. 8 at the Freeman Branch of the Harris County Library at 16616 Diana.

Attorney Kim Hegwood, a member of the National Network of Estate Planning Attorneys, will give the no-obligation presentation beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the Children's Activity Room on the first floor.

Hegwood has a BAA in management information systems and a BS in legal studies from University of Houston. She graduated from South Texas College of Law and was admitted to the bar in 1997.

She also belongs to the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys and has been a volunteer at Bay Area Turning Point and the annual Galveston County National Adoption Day.

The Freeman Branch library first opened on November 1, 1964 and moved to its current location in the Harris County multipurpose annex in Clear Lake on July 13, 1976. The Freeman Library has been serving the Clear Lake area for 36 years.

The Freeman Branch was named in honor of Captain Theodore C. Freeman, the first astronaut to lose his life in the U. S. space program.
