3 reasons for networking

Most people attend a networking event for one of three reasons:

• Get to Give (I must GET something before I GIVE something)
• Give to Get (If I GIVE something, I am entitled to GET something in return)
• Give to Give (I freely GIVE and GIVE and GIVE to help another person without expections)

We all know those who are are GIVERS and those who are GETTERS.

Identifying opportunities to share information and helpful ideas with other networkers is the first objective - but I want to be sure to make a few connections at each event that could have further business potential. Email and phone follow-up are key to exploring these new business opportunities.
