Somehow I missed finishing my husband's job title. He is the Deputy Program Director for LOGCAP for Afghanistan, (under the Material Sustainment Command.) I am never good at all of those Army titles...
Daniel, sorry about my slow response. My husband has been home on leave, I just started a new endeavor with Afghan women who are widows of Afghan Soldiers and Taliban fighters and orphans of both, and I have been attending to teenager problems..... I am back on track, Randy has returned to Afghanistan, we are getting the protocols set up with the Army through my husband's program for the outcast women of Afghanistan, and the teenager is taking my daily chewings.... I mean life instructions, and being proud to get them. (I am so much tougher than I look, and as he found out smarter too, and I know exactly how to bring an insolent teen to their knees quickly without raising my voice, using rude language,or breaking a sweat.) We also made a trip to Georgia where our daughter graduated with honors from Oglethorpe. With all those excuses, again my apologies for not responding promptly.
I see you are an Airforce veteran, thank you for your service, without those who have gone before in military service, those who now serve, and the young people coming on, our country will not thrive and survive. Our son is looking for an Airforce Academy appointment. His father is a West Point man, and currently serving as the Deputy Program Director for Afghanistan with the United States Army. He recently received the Bronze Star for his efforts this past year in Afghanistan. We both have a heart for serving the military and their families, and we have a bed and breakfast between Bellville and Sealy, you should visit us some time, we would love to share our hospitality.
Welcome to InHouston! I'm looking forward to meeting you face to face at one of our events! I would love to see how I can help you. By "far north Houston" are you talking about Arlington? or are you also in Houston??
