About Me:
I'm a 'chronologically maturing woman' traveling well into the 2nd half of the journey. My background is in counseling education & organizational development. Most of the work I've done over the years has been in O.D. - program & project development & management, including fund raising as a development officer & a consultant. For a few years, after moving back to home territory to be close to daughters and adorable g'children, I engaged in private practice professional therapeutic intervention. I gave that up after only a few years & now consider myself to be a "recovering professional therapist!" Quite frankly, coaching & mentoring are a whole lot more fun & less stressful as well!

I have a weird & wacky sense of humor that is sarcastic at times & self-deprecating at others! I love to share 'ole' war stories from my years with different industries & positions.

Although known for my strong & well-developed primary gift of the Spirit prophetic skills (no not a 'fortune teller'), I find that I naturally gravitate to 'teaching & training'. In my college days, I was an accomplished human relations small group trainer - first as a student then as a member of some well-known small group trainers & educators. It's my professional 'first-love'. So is it any wonder that I love to teach & train.

Now at the ripe age of (I'll never tell) - I know what PAPA is asking of me. He gave me a vision for A Women's Place & Affiliated Women that included building an online community for 'chronologically maturing women traveling the 2nd half of the journey. The 'half' that is the most enjoyable. What I want to do with His 'mandate' (I call it the "cloak & mantle") is be a rich resource for women everywhere.

But most of all I want to be a source of encouragement, enrichment & empowerment for women who will then turn around and "pass that knowledge & wisdom" to other women who are just entering the 2nd half path!

So that's me - in a nutshell! Now listen - "ask me anything & I'll tell you no lie!" But I may not tell you everything! Some things must remain hidden. After all what makes a woman particularly attractive at any age is that she always has an air of 'mystery about her!

PASSION - Or So You Thought!

Bold statement coming: what you are passionate about is not your business, product or service!

It truly is not. I realized this when I off-handedly said to one of our Tulsa women who had just told me she was passionate about the health product she promotes - "No, your passion is people's health!" She agreed.

Our passion is simply that. The "itch" that resides deep in our being somewhere out of sight until it pops up one day & we realize that all the 'scratching' we've done over years has w… Continue

The Problem with Traditional Networking!

Did you think there was nothing wrong with networking the way it has been done over the past say. . . 20 years? Well, I'm here to tell you there's plenty of challenges with it.

Traditional networking leaves the "person" out of the equation. Oh yes, I know, every group says "we're all about building relationships". Phooey, I say. Most of them are all about building their purses & to h_ _ _ with the other.

I know that sounds so harsh, but I wanted to get your attention & rile a bit of en… Continue

For All The Women - "Unwrap the Gift!"

Today is an auspicious day! It's the day we need to "unwrap the gift". And we are the GIFT!

Yes, each of us is a gift. A gift to each other and a gift to the world!

You may be asking yourself "how is that so?" And you may scoff a wee bit at even the thought of that being so. After all, we're women and "gifts" are things. You know, something inside a box that sparkles; or is practical and something we think we need. After all, our entire lives, we been led to believe that a gift is a "thing" ou… Continue
