I spent the greater part of 34 years in the radio industry in sales and upper level management positions. My radio career began in 1974 in San Antonio, Texas at WOAI. I moved to Shreveport, La. in 1975 and worked in sales at KRMD AM & FM for 9 years.
Our owners were putting a new station on the air in Reno, Nevada and in 1984, I moved to God's Country. Reno/Lake Tahoe was an unreal experience for me. I am proud to have put KBUL FM on the radio map and was a part of the building process for 8 years before moving back to Texas in 1991, due to an illness in my family. I needed to be closer to home.
I was also a part of Smooth Jazz 106.9 FM debut in Houston. My favorite radio experience was in 1994, putting 610 Sports on the map with my dad, Dickie Rosenfeld.
It was an amazing time to be in SportsRadio, the format was considered new and we were the only 24 hour operation totally dedicated to the format.
In 1995, we also debuted BusinessRadio 650. I loved the time shared with my dad and the great people that were part of the station. I left radio in 2003 and enjoyed the time I was in the industry.
