Niche (Services/Products your company provides:): The Clean Economy Network enables researchers and business professionals with an interest in renewable energy to connect with one another, to promote the growth of the renewable energy industry. CEn-Houston provides opportunities for networking, collaboration, education and business opportunities.

About Me:: CEN-Houston is a network of renewable energy/clean tech professionals and enthusiasts. We organize events for members - from casual networking functions and learning/discussion sessions, to hands-on activities such as field trips to local renewable energy companies. We aim to help create local habitats for promoting renewable energy businesses and entrepreneurships. We work closely with local research institutes, organizations (both governmental and non-governmental), and businesses.

REBN-South is the Houston chapter of the Renewable Energy Business Network (http://rebn.org). REBN was founded in the bay area by several renewable energy entrepreneurs. Local chapters in more cities are being established.

Target Market(s): Researchers and business professionals with an interest in renewable energy and promoting the growth of the renewable energy industry.

"Other interests" (Traveling, wine, books, etc...):: Houston is poised to be the nation's leader in renewable energy. We are already the hydrocarbon based energy leader. We have the ability, and the responsibility, to lead the transition from carbon positive energy to carbon neutral Energy. Much of the infrastructure is already in place. We are a technology leader. We have a higher concentration of energy knowledge than any other city. So what are we missing?
