About Me:

Stan Marts is a Managing Director with retained executive search firm BraxtonCooper. Stan is relentless in his commitment to deliver customer value. He focuses on building long-term partnerships with his clients: understanding their strategic objectives and helping his clients translate those needs into an effective performance-based hiring requirement. Getting the right “fit” requires not only deep knowledge of the client company but also deep knowledge of a candidate’s skills and aspirations. This means that Stan spends more time with candidates than recruiters at other search firms might. The extra time pays dividends, however, in reducing the number of candidates that a client needs to consider and increasing the likelihood that the candidate will become a star performer in the client organization.

Stan brings over 25 years of industry, managerial and consulting experience to BraxtonCooper. Prior to getting into the executive search field in 2003 Stan worked in the energy and chemicals markets (Fluor, Shell Oil) and the management consulting industry (Navigant.) Stan has placed experienced managers and partners into consulting positions in the energy, chemical, manufacturing and financial services sectors.

Stan is an active member of the Houston business community. He is a founding member of the Houston Chapter of CEO Netweavers (www.ceonetweavers.org), a peer-to-peer support network of CEOs and their trusted professional service advisors and the founder and past president of the Professional Development Group of Houston, the premier business and professional development association for executives in Houston.

Stan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of New Mexico and an MBA from the University of Chicago.
