About Tex Christopher
A business owner – Speaker, Trainer, Motivator

Tex Christopher is a regular guy with understanding for the regular guy. He knows the concerns of the people in the 18th congressional district of Texas because he works with them, listens to them and serves them in the streets of the district. Whether he is advising folks on how to get affordable health care, purchase the most competitive energy for their home, or correct an error on their credit report, Tex is close to the real issues.

Background
This retired Bull Rider, National Trainer in the Health Services Field, National Trainer on the Federal Tax Code, National Trainer in the energy business is an enthusiastic member of the Houston community. One of Tex’s most requested speeches is entitled, “THE HEART OF A CHAMPION” – it doesn’t take much time to discover that Tex is a champion with a heart.

In the community
Tex is a family man living in the middle of the 18th congressional district of Texas in a near Northside neighborhood. He is active on two committees for the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo and a leader in his church.

Approach
When the framers of the Constitution put our government together, they used the English system of representation as a guide line. The Senate represents geographic areas by state and The House of Representatives represents the people by population. It never occurred to the framers of our government that powerful positions, committee assignments, seniority and influential positioning would take precedence over the will of the people that elected The House Members.

As regular citizen who cares about the 18th congressional district of Texas, Tex simply wants to represent his fellow citizens. According to Tex, “I am a tax payer, just like you, who want the voice of the people to be heard in Washington.”

Tex, I am new to InHouston, but attended the mixer in Uptown last night & had a good conversation with Eric Standlee. Briefly, I served as Campaign Manager for Tucker Anderson in his US Congressional race in TX Dist 17 (Chet Edwards' seat). We narrowly lost the Republican Primary to an opponent who outspent us 10:1. Eric suggested I contact you, as I may be able to help out your campaign in some way (and would be more than happy to do so). Eric gave me your email - I'll send you a note this week. Matt Chapman
