Call it destiny, hard work, luck, or a mixture of all three, but I definitely have found my place here in the land of opportunity. My family and I came to the United States when I was nine years old. At an early age, I had a thirst for knowledge and recognized that education was the key to unlocking my full potential. My application, diligence and perseverance paid off quickly. I was the first in my family to graduate from college with a bachelor’s degree from the University of Houston Downtown. I briefly worked for corporate America, and then became a business owner. I have been working for myself and have honed the key entrepreneurial skills needed to succeed in the financial service and insurance industry.
While I was soul searching for a satisfactory long-term career, I briefly owned and operated a bakery shop, and, later, a real estate agency. I purchased a bakery shop that was about to go out of business. I revamped the infrastructure to give it a whole new look, changed the name, changed and upgraded the menu, as well as implemented marketing and promotional strategies to increase sales and recognition. I was able to increase the revenue by 80% and reduced operating expenses by 35%. I then sold it at 150% profit. I also owned a real estate/property management company for a couple of years. In late 2008, I closed the company down due to complicated health conditions. I was limited to bed rest for a few years, having to terminate my brokerage, staff and agents. Had I been introduced to this business with World Financial Group, I would have a thriving business today.
With the nine years of experience I have as a sole proprietor, I am well versed in the knowledge and experience of running a successful business, especially in a service oriented industry. Currently, I am an independent Real Estate Broker and a Financial Service/Insurance Agent with solid background in administration, finance, management, sales, and marketing.
Through many trials, efforts, and determinations, fate had led me to my newfound career path in the insurance and financial services industry. Owning my own Agency with World Financial Group has been the greatest opportunity I could ever imagine. Not only does it allow me to help my clients to properly build their financial foundation and protection with one family at a time. At our meeting last night Willie Martinez, the executive director of marketing made a statement that I thought was pretty powerful; especially for people like you who are already in the industry. He said that there will never be a year before major changes are about to take place. That's what 2013 is because in January 2014, things are going to change. It is this year that employers and employees are going to be looking for answers.
We have some new information from the government that's been released relating to health care. This is just like it was when the government made it mandatory for people to have car insurance. Who benefitted the most? The insurance companies who made it available.
We now have some plans to supplement what the Federal Govt. is going to institute that are going to be great because they will be affordable when companies are forced to get healthcare for their employees or be penalized. EVERYBODY IS GOING TO HAVE TO HAVE SOMETHING.
