[The following originally appeared in http://corporatedeathspiral.blogspot.com]
Back in the 1980s, management experts W. Edwards Deming and Peter Drucker wrote about the importance of an organization understanding its purpose in order to be successful. Unfortunately, we didn’t get it. Although many companies did develop highly professional and well-written mission and vision statements, they tended to be aimed at those outside the organization – investors and customers –… Continue

If you have kids, isn't it awesome to see them when they figure something new out.
If you don't have kids, is'nt it a "cool feeling" to reach that "a-ha" moment.
Well I've reached that "a-ha" moment when I figured out that what Zig Ziglar has been saying for years finally makes sense. "If you help enough other people get what they want, you'll get what you want" - or something like that. I know I could research it, but you get the idea.
The problem is most… Continue

My wife loves freesia. It is a hard flower to find. In the many years we have lived in Houston I haven't been able to buy her any. Since we have been married, I have bought them for her three times I think and all of that was in Japan.
I'd love to get her freesia more often.
Thanks for any help,

A few weeks ago I was introduced to a company that at the time was so new that they wouldn’t even reveal the company name to me. They were actually calling it “Company X” at the time.
Well, Company X recently announced the real name of the company and it is “Acquire Benefits Group”. After doing some due diligence I quickly decided to add the program to my portfolio.
Why? Because this company is going to be the biggest home run in the Networking Industry.

Are you spending hours on social networking sites, sending out monthly newsletters, and cold pitching but coming up short on prospective clients? Then it's time to change the way you market.
Take a look around at your business space. Imagine that it's a popular mall that generates a lot of foot traffic filled with other businesses who offer well defined products and services related to yours but not in competition with your company. They come from Arkansas, Florida, and South Carolina and all corners of the United States to help out. They chase disaster after disaster to provide moisture removal, debris removal, and tree & chain saw services. Anyone with a pickup and trailer can go into business to help in the massive disaster cleanup that has besieged our city. It has put pressure on the Federal, State and City to provide services for the influx of these helpers and they in turn fill up the hotel, RV parks and take on… Continue
