If you go to this web site, www.LetsSayThanks.com, you can pick out a thank you card and Xerox will print it and it will be sent to a soldier that is currently serving in Iraq . You can't pick out who gets it, but it will go to a member of the armed services.
How AMAZING it would be if we could get everyone we know to send one!!! It is FREE and it only takes a minute.
Wouldn't it be wonderful if the soldiers received a bunch of these? Whether you are f… Continue
This is the usual time for companies to whom you have been soliciting all year, and haven't closed, complete their budgets for the following year. This year, for many businesses, it was extremely difficult to get to here. Some companies didn't, and we empathize with them, and wish we could do something to help. But many businesses may still be on the cusp of not being here on January 1, 2010.
So, as a 'treat' from White Mountain Marketing Associates, let me offer my best advice for those ventur… Continue

Why Network/Netweave? What are your motivations?
I cannot pretend to know your motivations, but as I continue to learn and grow I can share where I have been.
When I started out to get on the path to networking, I didn't even know there was such thing as netweaving. So, what were my motivations?
Initially, fear motivated me to not do anything, but like the millions of pounds of thrust from the rockets on the space shuttle help it to overcome gravity and inertia and eventually leave Earth for… Continue

I know that watching the news makes you numb, and it feels like you have somehow stepped into a different and parallel universe.
No matter how much you want to curl up on the couch and hide from the outside world, it is NOW that the world needs servant leaders giving without expecting anything in return.
The Tackling Autism Foundation was founded by Scott and Ashley Jackson in honor of their amazing son, Tyler. Tyler attended the Texana Behavior Treatment & Training Center Day Treatment Program for young children with autism. In the two years since Tyler’s diagnosis, Scott and Ashley have witnessed incredible progress. Once limited to a five-word vocabulary, Tyl… Continue

Every once in a while, we come across something that makes such an impact on us that we find ourselves motivated to let other people know about our find. Well, I found one of those things. Except, it is not something that I’ve enjoyed, laughed at, or wanted to share for pleasure’s sake. However, it is something that everyone, I mean EVERYONE must be aware of. It’s something that everyone must share and spread the word about. That is, if you care about saving human lives and protecting families f… Continue
This week at JMS I explored the origin of the word “job”. I was not happy with what I found. The most consistent references point to a French root word “gobbet”. This translates into morsel or “piece”. Hence a “job” is a “piece” of work. It struck me that it also suggests a piece of our life.
So if we start with a “piece” (job), that doesn’t sound very fulfilling. For most people, the job never is. But then I started thinking about a progression. Ok, you get past a “job” and land a “position”.… Continue
