I just joined your group and I just started a new position as Employer Development Coordinator at The WorkFaith Connection, a non-profit organization that provides its members with the ability to achieve economic self-sufficiency through job placement, job retention and career advancement. I am looking for employers who have manufacturing jobs, hourly labor jobs, maintenance positions or any other positions for our graduates. This is an opportunity to help invest in changing someone's life for the better. Please contact me for more information!

I like the idea of Bohemeos. Baytown is in East Harris County as well. Hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving.

I have been out of touch for a while. Sorry about that. I'm glad to see the group growing. I am hoping to get time to update some content and if we can get to 15 members, we'll set up a meeting date and time.

Hi (y)all. I just now browsed through the list of groups and found this one. I like the idea that Shaun has and would love to help get this kicking.

East Harris County seems to mean different areas to different ones of us. Kemah and that area down there seems like the other side of the world to me. I never go there. Maybe I should. I'm a member of the East End Chamber of Commerce. But maybe that's just the east end of Houston proper.

Anyway I'd love to get something going like Shaun is talking and would love to get to know you all. I just found a cool little coffee/art/music place at Leeland & Lockwood in the Eastwood area. Bohemeo's. 708 Telephone Rd # E, 77023. The owner's a East Side Chamber member. The crowd tends to be young and hip but it's pretty inactive on weekday nights anyway. Would be a nice and intimate place to at least kick off a small group and get something going.

Ok guys, we're at 6 members so far. Great start to the group. Let's try and hit 10 by the end of the week, and 20 in two weeks. Refer others and grow the group. The bigger the group the more referrals are possible for us all. Having numerous professionals to ask for help or information can greatly aid you in your businesses as well. Lets keep up the momentum!

Ok, I tried to get the poll to show up on this page with no success. I have added a link above to vote for a temporary meeting location. It will open another window and then you can cast your vote. Let the group speaketh!

Kemah would work very well also.

That is a possibility. I think the Kemah meeting is a little closer to the proposed service area. I will leave it up to the group and put a poll up to see what the consensus is.
