Whoever originally said “a stitch in time saves nine” got it right on. (It sounds like something Ben Franklin wrote in his “Poor Richards Almanac” but I’m not going to take the time to google it right now.)

A lot of the pressure washers & paint sprayers that are brought to us for repair would cost their owners a lot less to repair if they had brought them much sooner. Both of these types of pumps develop…

This link came from my freind Chris Vance. http://www.linkedin.com/in/topherthoughts

IKEA opened a new store and got very creative with use of the photo-tagging feature on facebook. They were giving away IKEA stuff so the word spread like wildfire and got the attention of a lot of people in the community. Pretty neat.

Local Goat Dairies

As part of my business, I have been visiting vendors at several of the local Farmer's markets. The Bayou City Market, open Saturdays AM from 8 - 12 off Richmond, is a fantastic market with a wide diversity of products grown or made by people in or around Houston. There is another market open Tuesday Evenings, near the Rice U athletic facilities, where you will find many of the same vendors and others.

Yesterday, I met 2 of the daughters of the delightful Carlson family at the… Continue

Good day,
How is everything with you, I picked interest on you after going through your short profile and deemed it necessary to write you immediately. I have something very important to disclose to you, but I found it difficult to express myself here, since it's a public site. Could you please get back to me on my private email(elizabethleveques@gmail.com.com) for the full details?
Have a nice day and God bless you,

You are an independent business owner like I am but I hope you aren’t in the same state that I was in – without healthcare.  So many of us who are independent are lacking in this area.

Healthcare in our country is a multi-trillion-dollar industry, yet over 50 million Americans lack coverage of some kind.

Several changes in the Health Care Affordabilty Act, have already been implemented.

  • Children under a parent’s health insurance plan can now remain on their parents plan up to age 26.
  • Also, children with preexisting health conditions cannot be excluded from coverage.
  • More changes are expected this year.

There are ways for Americans to get affordable Dental and Medical insurance coverage today, without being turned down.

If you are an employer, you may face a $2,000 fine per employee after the first 30 employees if health insurance is not provided to employees.

If you employ less than 25 employees and the average wage of employees is less than $50,000, tax credits are available for you, which might be an incentive to provide health coverage.

We need to be informed now, because in 2014, there will be a lot of changes.
